What We Collect

Nothing. ApplyVault stores all data exclusively in chrome.storage.local — a storage area that lives only on your computer and is never transmitted anywhere.

The data you enter (company names, job titles, notes, dates) never leaves your browser.

What We Access

When you click the ApplyVault icon on a job listing page, the extension reads the page title and URL to pre-fill the save form. This information is:

• Read only when you click the icon — never automatically or in the background
• Stored locally on your device if you choose to save it
• Never sent to any server or third party

Notifications & Reminders

If you set a follow-up reminder, Chrome fires a local notification at the scheduled time. This is handled entirely by the browser — no network request is made.

Third Parties

ApplyVault does not integrate with any analytics service, advertising platform, or third-party API. There is no backend server.

Data Deletion

Your data is deleted instantly when you use the "Clear all applications" option in Settings, or when you uninstall the extension. You can also export a JSON backup at any time from Settings.

Children's Privacy

ApplyVault does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Substantive changes will be noted in the extension's release notes.
